Doctoral Defense of Elisabeth Abraham (KU Leuven) - March 3rd, 2023

On March 3rd, 2023, Elisabeth Abraham defended her PhD thesis entitled "How can we make it work? Combining career and private life in dual-earner couples." I had the honor and pleasure of being part of her doctoral committee and joining her defense as a jury member. Elisabeth focused on a very timely and relevant research area, studying how dual-earner couples navigate their private lives and careers. For example, she studied how they self-manage their careers (apart and together), and how agreements or discrepancies between career priorities may impact their satisfaction with their careers and private lives. On top of having an exciting thesis, Elisabeth also did a fantastic job defending her thesis, and I enjoyed being part of the ceremony.
