Keynote at Employability21 Conference
The second edition of the international scientific-practitioner conference Employability21 took place on September 13th and 14th 2018 in the Provinciehuis, Leuven, Belgium. The conference featured a collection of keynote lectures and parallel sessions. During these sessions, academics presented their latest work related to employability, and practitioners presented examples and interventions related to employability. Throughout the conference the connection between science and practice was a key point of attention.
On Thursday September 14th 2018, I provided a keynote lecture at this conference, entitled "Sustainable Career Management: What is It and How Does it Work?". The talk focused on conceptualizing the notion of a sustainable career, recent research that has focused on this idea, and a reflection on its value for practice. More information on the conference and the slides of all sessions can be found on the website of the conference.
It was a great honor and pleasure to have been invited to provide a keynote at this conference, and as always it was great to be in Leuven again for a bit. It is a big challenge to organize a conference with both academics and practitioners but I believe the organizers did a great job, and it was a wonderful experience to be part of it.
