Obtained Research Grant for Project on Inequalities during the Transition from Education to Work
We received a €100.000,- grant from the Kenniscentrum Ongelijkheid (Knowledge Center Inequality) to study possible inequalities during the transition from education to work among Amsterdam youth. The project is a cooperation between ROC van Amsterdam, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and VU Amsterdam. We aim to study the mechanisms that may explain why emerging adults may experience (growing) inequalities in their employability development during the start of their professional careers. In doing so, we look at possible educational, gender, and ethnics differences.
Our project consortium consists of (besides me as project leader): Bianca Beersma (VU Amsterdam), Romy van der Lee (VU Amsterdam), Mieke van Diepen (Amsterdam UAS), Daphne Wiersma (Amsterdam UAS), Aliya Celik (Amsterdam UAS), Liesbeth Gamadia (ROC van Amsterdam), Flip Derks (ROC van Amsterdam), and Aad Knetsch (ROC van Amsterdam).
