Special Issue Out on The Role of Career Shocks in Contemporary Careers
We published a special issue in Career Development International that focuses on the role of career shocks in contemporary career development. The issue features seven research articles presenting new insights into how career shocks may impact people’s careers. The articles contribute to, for example, better understanding the concept of career shocks, its theoretical foundations and mechanisms, and connections with other research areas.
For me, this is an exciting special issue as it presents a collection of research studies on one of my primary research topics. It’s great to see a community of scholars publishing their work in this issue, and I hope it will offer meaningful contributions to the literature moving forward.
You can find the entire special issue HERE. If you want an overview of the main contributions and implications for future research, you can read our open-access editorial article HERE.
